Healthy Desserts You'll Love

Healthy Desserts You'll Love. Bowl of flour, sugar, butter and mixing spoon.

Today I am sharing some healthy dessert recipes you'll love.

I have a major sweet tooth and I love to bake. I try to watch my sugar intake, and I have to eat gluten free, too. In light of this, I am always on the hunt for healthy-ish versions of my favorite desserts that are gluten free and low in added sugar. Luckily there are so many amazing food bloggers out there creating recipes that fit my needs exactly.

Here is my round-up of healthy gluten free desserts - many of which I have made repeatedly.

Give them a try and let me know what you think!

Healthy Dessert Recipes You'll Love

These recipes are easy to make and oh so good.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

The classic. There are a million different versions out there. This healthy chocolate chip recipe is one of my favorites. It's filled with good-for-you ingredients yet the cookies taste buttery, chocolatey and delicious. You can use no sugar added chocolate chips (like these) to lower the sugar even more.

Paleo Double Fudge Banana Bread

I've made this paleo double fudge banana bread many, many times. My kids love it, and it has NO added sugar aside from chocolate chips, which you could leave out. It freezes well also. Don't throw out those over-ripe bananas, make this!

Healthy Protein Brownies

Another recipe that I've made on repeat. These healthy protein brownies are flourless and easy to make with ingredients you most likely already have at home. You add protein powder to the batter - this one is my favorite. I like to add walnuts on top for a little added nutrition and crunch.

Cake & Cupcakes

So maybe you don't want to make a recipe from scratch, but want a baked good with better-for-you ingredients. My go-to is always Simple Mills Chocolate Muffin and Cake Mix. The mix is gluten free, has a clean ingredient list, and the cupcakes (or muffin, or cake) have half the sugar of a traditional cake mix. Easy and really yummy. They have vanilla, too.

Blueberry Muffins

These healthy blueberry muffins are on my to-bake list this summer. Most muffins freeze well and they make for a perfect little treat. This is the only recipe here that I haven't tried, but I will be soon!

You can still enjoy treats while prioritizing your health.

I hope you enjoyed this round-up of healthy dessert recipes. Which one would you like to try?
