I actually love filling stockings. I love looking for and choosing just the right mix of fun and practical little goodies that I know my kids will use and love.
If you have school-age kids, check out these stocking stuffer ideas, many of which we have and love.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Little Kids
Cute, fun, and practical gifts for kids in preschool through 2nd grade.
Art Supplies. I love sneaking new art supplies into stockings. They are useful and fun, and kids of all ages love them. For little kids I love these paint sticks, these twistable crayons, simple watercolor sets, and these cute pip squeaks washable markers.
Tub Works Vehicles. These squishy vehicles for the bath stay mold-free and provide lots of bath time fun.
Kinetic Sand. This Chuckle and Roar kinetic sand is so fun, and (fairly) mess-free. We also love the Whoa Dough (which is gluten free!), and this one comes in a cute stocking stuffer pack.
Character Toothbrushes. My kids always get a toothbrush in their stockings (right next to the candy, haha). This set of two Bluey toothbrushes make brushing a little more fun.
Playing Card Holder. We love to play card games, but my youngest has a hard time holding all of the cards in his little hands. This playing card holder would be a great little gift with a deck of cards or a game like Uno.
Wikki Stix. These Wikki Stixx are perfect to throw into a bag for travel, restaurants, doctor's offices and more.
Race Car Launcher. This race car with launcher looks so fun. It's going in my son's stocking this year.
Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Big Kids
Goodies that your upper elementary kiddos will love.
Stickers. A collection of cute vinyl stickers for water bottles, notebooks, laptops, etc. is an inexpensive and fun stocking stuffer for big kids. I love these animal stickers and this sticker variety pack.
Fun Family Game. Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza is a super fun card game for all ages - but especially the upper elementary set.
Brain Teaser Puzzle. This brain-stretching game, Kanoodle, is perfect for restaurants, travel, and snowy days.
Paper Airplane Kit. A fun screen-free activity perfect for chilly winter days, I can see my boys really enjoying this paper airplane kit.
Nail Stickers. My daughter loves these nail stickers. With a bottle of clear nail polish, they make for a cute manicure.
Sketch Books. All three of my kids love to draw, and these mini sketch books are perfect. Add these fun scented markers as well!
Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Tweens
This group can be a bit tougher, but I found some great options!
Sneaker Balls. For active tween/teen boys...IYKYK. Try this set of 6 deodorizing sneaker balls. I like these sport shaped balls too!
LED Lights. These LED color-changing strip lights are really cool. My two older kids both have them around their windows/closets and they are a lot of fun.
Nerf Foam Ball. Kids of all ages would love this classic Nerf foam ball.
Cell Phone Holder. My mom got these cell phone holders for my son and I last year, and we both love them.
Book Light. Everyone in my house has one of these clip on book lights.
Spa Headband. Every tween needs a headband for washing their face and applying all of their skincare. Don't forget the satin scrunchies for their hair.
Glitter Pens. These retractable glitter gel pens are perfect for planners, notes, and more.
Travel Jewelry Case. This little travel jewelry case would make a perfect stocking stuffer.
Letter Keychains. These cute gold letter keychains are perfect for keys, backpacks, crossbody bags, whatever your tween is carrying.
LCR Game. This Left Right Center game is a classic, and lots of fun.
